This is what happened this week with DYDC instructor, Carla Fazio:
This week we wrapped up our number unit. We also embraced the snow by making snowflake shapes while static and travelling. Transport and travel took us by storm on Wednesday and we explored various modes of travel and transport from those on the ground, to those at sea and to those in the air. We represented some of these through symbols using our bodies while travelling. Half of the class sat and chose a person to watch travelling. The half sitting down then had to guess what the person they were watching was – e.g. a plane, a bike. Then we swapped over so everybody got a chance to watch and do. It is amazing what our bodies can say without actually speaking a word!
